"Conflicting thoughts", "need to defend"? My my, have you been watchin Dr Phil? :-D Anyway, how quiet/loud are those Maxpower mufflers? :I didn't say Hooker Max Flow. Maybe you have conflicting thoughts about getting that muffler if you felt the need to defend it? Anyway, your post did remind me of the flowmaster on my friends car and when I stumbled accross this video it was a perfect example. However it was not directed at you. :The mufflers I want are close to the design of your Hookers. Straight thru oval cans. The difference being that the Maxpower ones I want are stainless steel with a 4" resonated tip. The Maxpower ones have a very deep tone that gives a more rally car rasp when reved up. The mufflers with just a regular chunk of pipe welded on the end have that air passing by flub flub sound with the exhaust pulses. I can't stand that sound. My first TTZ had straight cut tips and sounded like a helicopter when it accelerated away from you. :( :I am with you Inferno on eliminating all buzzing or rice grinder sounds in trade for a good deep race tone. The last thing I need is to wake up the neighborhood with a coffee can full of bees at 4am when I leave for work. Lol.
